This programme aims to replace the existing inefficient conventional tube lights, Ceiling fans,conventional /CFL bulbs and conventional street lights with Energy Efficient LED Tube Lights, BEE’s 5-star rated BLDC Ceiling Fans, LED bulbs and LED Street Lights in Government buildings and Street lights of poor revenue village Panchayats.

MEEV Programmes

TANGEDCO as TNSDA had implemented Model Energy Efficient Village (MEEV) programme in 133 nos. Village Panchayats across the state during the FY 2023-24 by replacing 215 nos. bulbs, 1288 nos. tube lights, and 738 nos. fans with energy efficient BEE’s five star rated LED bulbs, LED tube lights and BEE’s five star rated BLDC fans in Government offices and 1069 nos. street lights with energy efficient BEE’s star rated Street lights from the fund of Bureau of Energy Efficiency/MoP.
