E-Vehicle Awareness

TANGEDCO, is the Tamil Nadu State Nodal Agency (TNSNA).
Under BEE’s effective guidance and assistance, EV accelerator cell has been established in the state of Tamil Nadu.
In Tamil Nadu, the usage of E-vehicles - 2 wheelers, 3 wheelers and 4 wheelers is in increasing trend and TANGEDCO as TNSNA is conducting various activities such as Road shows, Technical Workshops, etc. to create awareness on E-Vehicles among public all over Tamil Nadu in all Districts through TANGEDCO’s Electricity Distribution Circles concerned.

FAME-I (Faster Adoption and Manufacturing of Hybrid & Electric Vehicles in India (FAME-India))

FAME-I (Faster Adoption and Manufacturing of Hybrid & Electric Vehicles in India(FAME-India)) Scheme is launched by GoI under National Mission on Electric Mobility in 2011/ National Electric Mobility Mission Plan 2020, unveiled in 2013.
The Scheme has been extended from time to time, with the last extension allowed for a period up to 31st March 2019 .

FAME-II

Government has approved Phase-II of FAME Scheme with an outlay of Rs. 10,000 Crore for a period of 3 years commencing from 1st April 2019.
